Pros of High Speed Train

High speed train has the advantage over automobiles in that it can move passengers at speeds far faster than those possible by car, apart from avoiding congestion. High speed train, which has potentially very high capacity on its fixed corridors, offers the promise of relieving the congestion on other systems. While high speed trains generally do not travel as fast as aircraft, they have advantages over air travel for relatively short distances. Trains can be boarded much more quickly, eliminating the speed advantage of air travel. Rail corridor also permit far greater capacity and frequency of service than what is possible by aircraft.
