Technology options for high speed corridor

In a world of rapid technological change, there are two high speed train corridor options, one is wheel-on-track and the other is wheel-less trains propelled by the principle of magnetic levitation(MAGLEV). The MAGLEV technology is not commercially operational in a big way and requires distinct guide way technology. Hence it may not be relevant to India at this juncture as it cannot be integrated into the existing rail way infrastructure.
