The Satchurator – Satriani’s signature distortion sounds from Vox Pedals

Author: admin | Files under Music

Great news for all those electric guitar heads and Satriani fans out there! Satriani’s teamed up with the famous guitar amplifier company, VOX Amps Ltd. to bring out “The Satchurator”. The Satchurator is a distortion pedal whose tone according to the master himself, “seems to be better than most pedals” he’s worked with. Despite following the Guitar God’s strict specifications, this pedal seems to be offering more with a “more” switch. This unique switch gives you that extra distortion, that extra gain, that little extra that every guitarist always wanted to have at any point of time. The other cool feature that the pedal has to offer is a “pad” switch, which lets the unit be used along with other even lesser cooperative, unfriendly-to-anyone-else pedals and units. I am sure most of those who are reading this have played through various other distortion units, and what we all might have noticed is that with higher gain, there is higher noise when the strings are damped. This can be very frustrating, and makes it very apparent to us that our guitar is processed. But Satch has promised that with this pedal, everything goes “crystal” clear, and even conserves the natural factors of the instrument, like the natural harmonics and the pick sounds.

I need to tell this for all the Satriani freaks out there, but for those who haven’t yet heard his work, please do. He has a unique technique to guitar playing, and he specializes and loves creating custom tones and sounds from his guitar. If such a man has chosen some specs for distortion, overdrive and crunch, it really must sound good. We have so many satch one prototypes, but what sounds more like the pro, than the sound which he has approved himself!
